Introduction/Objective:
A time management method that balances focused work intervals with regular short breaks, preventing mental fatigue and eliminating procrastination.
Exercise Steps:
1. Pick one specific task you need to complete and write it down.
2. Set a timer for 25 minutes.
3. Work on the task with absolute, uninterrupted focus until the timer rings. (If interrupted, restart the 25 minutes).
4. Take a short 3 to 5-minute break to do something relaxing (stretch, drink water, or eat a small snack) to reward your brain.
5. Repeat the cycle. After completing 4 ‘Pomodoros’, take a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes to recharge your energy.
Benefits:
– Sustains high levels of focus and prevents cognitive burnout.
– Eliminates the dread of starting difficult tasks.
